On November 25th, 2023, the Optoelectronic Engineering and Future Display & Information and Communication Technology Branch of the International Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation Conference on the Maritime Silk Road was grandly held at the Shenzhen Bay Innovation Plaza Center. The conference is hosted by the School Planning, Construction and Development Center of the Ministry of Education, and organized by Shenzhen University, Shenzhen University of Technology, and Shenzhen Industry University Research Cooperation Promotion Association. Wang Yongcheng, Vice President and Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee of Shenzhen University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Kong Lingjing, Vice President of the University of Electronic Science and Technology, Li Jingzhen, Director of the Key Laboratory of Micro Nano Photonics Information Technology in Shenzhen and Director of the Institute of Photonics Engineering at the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Shenzhen University, and Xia Xianggen, a professor at the University of Delaware, Changjiang Scholar, IEEE Fellow, and other domestic and foreign experts, scholars, and business representatives attended the opening ceremony. More than 300 experts, scholars, and industry elites from domestic key universities such as Sun Yat-sen University, Jilin University, and University of Electronic Science and Technology were also invited to participate in this event both online and offline. Chairman Xiao Lan of Shenzhen Top-link Technologies Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the on-site meeting to discuss the development of information optoelectronic technology and the deepening of industry university research and application cooperation with the attendees.

In the conference presentation segment, Professor Li Jingzhen from Shenzhen University and Professor Xia Xianggen from the University of Delaware in the United States gave speeches with the themes of “The Latest Progress of Atomic Time Imaging Technology” and “Some Thoughts on 6G Modulation Methods” respectively, showcasing their innovative practices and reflections on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Colliding wisdom, consolidating consensus, and deeply exploring innovative ideas and technologies in the fields of optoelectronics and information, all attendees enjoyed a feast of knowledge.

Entrepreneur dialogue session

During the roundtable sector, six entrepreneurs, represented by Chairman Xiao Lan of Shenzhen Top-link Technologies Co., Ltd., conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges around the theme of “Innovating and Promoting International Industry-University-Research-Application”. They shared their beneficial explorations and practices in areas such as international Industry-University-Research-Application cooperation methods, building high-level talent teams, technological innovation, and industrial development. To connect with the development and cooperation needs at home and abroad, through multidimensional discussions and sharing, broaden the implementation ideas of domestic and foreign experts and scholars in industry university research cooperation, and further improve the exchange level of industry university research cooperation.
